This week's bulletin contains information on the #RedForRuth 2021 Club Challenge, Covid-19 guidance for Wales, and an ECB & Microsoft partnership.

We are pleased to announce the latest updated guidance for recreational cricket in Wales, permissible from 7th August. Today, the second day of the ENG-IND series test match at Lord's, will be turning red once again in dedication to the Ruth Strauss Foundation.

We are calling all cricket clubs, communities and friends to go red in any way, shape or form in the lead up to, on Friday 13 August and over the weekend.

This year’s #RedforRuth Club Challenge will see two clubs join Sir Andrew and a surprise bowler at Lord’s for a coaching session and more – so get involved!

How to enter? Simple! Register on www.ruthstraussfoundation.com/club-challenge, post something very red on social media tagging @RuthStraussFdn + #RedforRuth.

The redder the better! Let’s help families facing grief by raising awareness and funds while having some fun along the way!

Here are some of the ways in which you can help:

• Turn your social channels red in the lead up and on Friday, 13 August, or over the weekend at your games
• Donate to our mission. Why not donate a £1 for every run your club / player scores.
• Turn one of your club fixtures #RedforRuth
• Request a poster with a bespoke RSF QR code so supporters can easily donate, and funds raised can be attributed to your club
• Let your local radio, papers and community mags know about your event and ask them to support the cause

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) recently announced a ground-breaking partnership with Microsoft that will put technology at the heart of delivering long-lasting benefits across all levels of cricket. This will provide opportunities to people across cricket, from volunteers to young participants, to develop new life skills.

With the school holidays just starting, there are loads of options available to support kids’ development, including a tour of the “Hall of Fossils” at the Smithsonian Museum, Hour of Code Minecraft, and Code your own Arcade Game. For more information, click the button below.
