Hertfordshire Girls U15 League Winners

The Hertfordshire U15 girls capped off the 2017 season by clinching the ECB Group 2 B Division. The girls managed to win 4 of their 6 games with one being called off due to bad weather.

The season highlights included a record breaking total 298/7 v Bedfordshire with Emily Pollard scoring 55 and Keya Patel taking 5 for 12. A 9 wicket win at Boxmoor v Huntingdonshire where left arm seamers Gaby Pimm and Libby Riddell both managed a five wicket haul. Openers Tilly Larkins and Sophie Stewardson put on 81 for the first wicket.

Arguably the most exciting game was at Saham Toney, Norfolk. The Hertfordshire Girls posted a score of 117 with skipper Elizabeth Ruxton top scoring with 33 and the side being bowled out with over 10 overs of the innings remaining. Norfolk looked in a good position at 84/4 and again at 105/7. However an inspirational bowling change saw Seona Stevenson taking 3 for 2 in 3 overs to get the team over the line to win by 2 runs.
