At a presentation at the recent Hertfordshire County match at North Mymms Cricket Club. Ben Waring received last year's Luke Westell award, an award made to the most promising Young Hertfordshire Cricketer of the season based on performances in competitive matches, attitude and approach to cricket and future potential.
The previous four winners were George Scott (now Middlesex CCC), Reece Hussain, Joe Cooke and Patrick Scott.
The picture above shows Ben having received the trophy from Bill and Carol Spicer, Luke's godparents and Geoff and Ronni Westell.

Luke Westell played for Hertfordshire Young Cricketers from 1995-1997. He was a talented cricketer and musician, studying at Worcester College, Oxford University when he tragically passed way at the early age of 21. Luke's Godparents Carol and Bill Spiced donated this award in his memory.
