1st Ever Hertfordshire Table Cricket Finals
The 1st Hertfordshire School Games Table Cricket Finals were held at Lonsdale School on Thursday 14th November, with North Herts SSP taking the title ahead of Lonsdale (representing Stevenage Sporting Futures Team).
Amwell View School (representing Hertford & Ware) and Woodfields (representing Dacorum) joined North Herts and Stevenage in the competition, which was made up of 6 games between the 4 teams as they played each other once.
The day was organised by Hertfordshire Cricket in partnership with the Hertfordshire School Games programme, supported by the sports apprentices and staff from North Herts School Sports Partnership.
The Results were as following:
Lonsdale (249) lost to North Herts (253) by 4 runs
Amwell View (260) beat Woodfield (160) by 100 runs
North Herts (274) beat Woodfield (152) by 122 runs
Amwell View (217) lost to Lonsdale (267) by 50 runs
Lonsdale (289) beat Woodfield (184) by 105 runs
North Herts (267) beat Amwell View (245) by 22 runs
Final Table:
1. North Herts - 9 Points
2. Lonsdale - 7 Points
3. Amwell View - 5 Points
4. Woodfield - 3 Points
Congratulations to all the players, schools and staff who took part in the competition. Table Cricket will now be included in the School Games as an annual event.
