Doreen Browne / Tony Foster......
.
Doreen Browne
Doreen died peacefully in her sleep on 19 February while still in hospital where she has been for a few months after suffering a number of falls during the autumn.
Doreen was a Life Member of Radlett CC and held many prominent roles but most will remember her for her record-breaking 50 years of scoring for Radlett and for the hundreds of mid-week matches she scored all round the Country. Only last season she was still scoring in two and sometimes three Herts Senior matches a week.
Doreen’s Funeral Service will be at the West Herts Crematorium on Thursday 14th March at 2.40pm, and her sons Peter, Stuart and her family would be pleased to see as many of you who are able to join her for the Service and afterwards to celebrate Doreen’s life back at Radlett Cricket Club for refreshments.
Doreen's favourite colour was red as was evident when you met her, whether it was her clothes, her red nail polish or her cashmere jumpers and coats. For that reason, Peter and Stuart would like as many of you who would feel comfortable wearing something red to please do so.
And for those who like to wear a tie, please make it a Radlett tie, or one of the other clubs or associations that you associate with Doreen.
Thank you, Doreen.

Tony Foster
It is with deep sadness that I have to inform you of the death of Tony Foster. Tony had been in declining health for a number of years firstly in hospital and then in a care home.
Tony was a pathfinder for Herts Seniors and was involved in both the 50s 2s/60s1s and 70s 1s from their inception and was the original captain of all 3 sides. He captained the 50s 2 from 1998 to 2001, 60s 1s from 2004 to 2006 and the 70s 1s from 2008 to 2013. He first played for our 50s 1s in 1989 and was an automatic choice in the days when we were one of the best in the country. He played 35 50s 1s games, 48 60s 1s games and 85 70s 1s games.
Tony retired from Seniors cricket in 2016 having just toured Argentina in November 2015 with Herts Seniors where once again he performed to a high standard. .After retirement he would often turn up at seniors games to give us support, usually around tea time!
Tony was also a stalwart of Hatfield cricket Club where he played for over 50 years.
Tony was a true competitor who possessed a dry sense of humour, was a good leader and who was never afraid to voice his opinion. He was a true legend and will be truly missed .
It is sad that we have now lost two stalwarts in Tony and Doreen of Herts Senior cricket in a short space of time.
We thank you both for the work you did for Herts seniors.
