Hertfordshire Cricket

On Sunday 27th July Catherine Cirkel at just 13 became the only junior female Hertfordshire player to ever* score a hundred for the county.

Opening the innings against Bucks at Twyford CC, Catherine was soon in to her stride playing a near flawless innings. Her 115 runs included twenty-one fours and a six in 117mins and 86 balls. Her innings ended when she was trapped LBW in the 29th over (of 35).

Catherine’s innings was the backbone of the superb 219 for Herts and the total was far too many for Bucks who due to the super bowling and fielding by the Herts girls finished on 123 from their 35 overs.
