The Sunrisers are looking to recruit a Regional Talent Identification Scout to work as an integral member of their Scouting Network, identifying players for the Regional Academy/EPP & Senior Squad and to be part of a team who are responsible for identifying and monitoring talented young players within the London & East (Sunrisers) region.
JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend County Age Group, County Senior and Sunrisers Selection games
- Maintain and submit accurate and detailed records of all matches attended and players scouted
- Ensure the necessary forms have been completed and information collated on all potential player recruits in order that they can be registered on any subsequent programmes
- Maintain a working knowledge of all players within the Sunrisers region, including any who have either previously been signed/ registered with the Senior Squad/Academy
- Attend scouting meetings as required, and to prepare in advance of those meetings updates on scouting activity and targeted players
- Project a professional image, and act as an ambassador for Sunrisers Cricket at all times.
- Attend all Induction and CPD training relating to the role
THE PERSON – ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Demonstrable experience of identifying talent within the women & girls performance pathway
- Knowledge of holistic and lifestyle factors that influence adolescent development within a talent pathway
- Appetite for continual development and education around human and athletic development
- Great inter-personal communication skills and IT literacy
- A passion to play a key role in the future of women & girls performance cricket
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid and in date Safeguarding Young Cricketers certificate
- Valid and in date ECB DBS certificate
- Valid and in date 1st Aid Certificate
- Access to own vehicle for transport around the region
COMMITMENT & REMUNERATION:
- Successful applicants will be expected to be available to attend a minimum of 15 days of cricket, between May and August. In addition, successful candidates will be expected to attend meetings, both in person and over online platforms
- Scouts will be paid a daily expense allowance to cover travel and incurred costs
- Scouts will be provided with regular CPD and informal training to aid their role performance
